If I were less familiar with the Abercrombie & Fitch scent, I might have liked Mahogany Teakwood. This perfume product does not smell like the Bath and Body Works line of Mahogany Teakwood; I do not enjoy that smell. Very sensual aroma, but I did not feel this fragrance product smelled like B&B Mahogany Teakwood fragrance.
It smells nothing like mahogany teakwood — it smells exactly like a men’s cologne by Drakkar. I would say that this is a Unisex scent due to its sweetness, but it seems that the males love this fragrance product. I am a woman and love the smell, several men that I asked liked this smell too.
Reflections on the Fragrance of Mahogany
I note that this fragrance product seems to shift slightly once in tart form as opposed to the way it smelt in a bottle, but that is a nice shift. I have been comparing this fragrance product to my candles out of the box, which simply does not smell as great. I like the scent a lot, though that I am planning on ordering some more for room sprays, candles, and other products not made with the fragrance.
All of this is to say; it is probably not surprising that I like the Fresh Balsam smell from Bath and Body Works. It is, and always will be, my number one favorite Bath and Body Works Fall Candle Scent. Bath & Body Works Mahogany Teakwood Scent Fine Mist is my favorite new product this year.
Mahogany Woods from Bath and Body Works is an Amber woody scent for men. A fabulous mix of mahogany, cedarwood, and oak, topped off with top notes of fresh lavender and geranium. Cedarwood and oak wood entwined with the warm mahogany create a perfectly manly fragrance suitable for all seasons.
Fresh apples and lavender are balanced with woody mahogany and peppercorns that are manly. Mahogany & Teakwood Fragrance Oil – Delight in a comforting woodsy scent made from mahogany, cedarwood, and oak, accented with gentle notes of lavender and geranium. The manly notes of Mahogany and Teakwood blend with bergamot, sweet citron, ylang-ylang, and cinnamon bark to create a woodsy, uplifting fragrance.
Reflections on Additional Common Scents
Teakwood is an earthy, masculine fragrance with a woody twist that would have anyone stopping what they are doing to experience a whiff of Caribbean teakwood. If you sniff sandalwood alone, you will also notice balsamic, sweet, and floral notes. Sandalwood oil has a complex smell that can be interpreted across a broad palette of notes.
Bergamot’s unique floral, peppery edge sets it apart from other citrusy smells. Bergamot resembles other citrus fruits, having bright, sweet aromas tinged with tartness and acidity. Like different scents in the citrus family, bergamot has that classic sweet-yet-tart scent.
Sometimes, sandalwood oil builds upon its heady, floral-animalic notes and yet at the same time, has that fantastic, childlike, soapy-clean smell. While the scent of mahogany perfume oil is not pervasive, it has a warm, rich, aromatic scent that is very sought-after when blended with other oils. Mahogany from Demeter Fragrance is available in 30 & 100ml bottles and as body care products.
Bath & Body Works describes Leaves as combining Bath & Body Works Frosted Cranberry and Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin scents. Despite its name, the Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin Hand Soap does not contain any Pumpkin notes but some lovely cinnamon, cloves, vanilla, and brown sugar.
It is got that natural pumpkin smell you are looking for, combined with apples for a perfect fall candle. Another is not the typical fall smell, but the mix of notes makes this ideal for the season.
Eucalyptus is my favorite note, and Sweater Weather would smell just right seasonally as well, heading into the holidays. Sweater Weather is right up your alley if you are looking for a lighter, fresher smell in a fall candle. These are moments that I want for me and you, which is why I create my candles using high-quality fragrance oils that provide us pleasant, robust smells.
Customers who bought these candles, lit them, and sniffed them themselves are all over Bath & Body Works site, describing exactly what those fragrances are like in real life. Bath & Body Works signature 3-wick candles have become some of the store’s best-selling products of all time, and there are even a couple of new fragrances on this year’s edition. Given the vast amount of beautiful candles the brand has on offer, choosing which scent you want to commit to can be difficult.
As someone who enjoys girly, fruity perfumes, I have moments when I want something unique and different, which is what Mahogany Teakwood delivers. Mahogany Teakwood is a scent both men and women cannot get enough of, and it can be customized to make for a unique gift.
The core of this perfume oil is aged teakwood, patchouli, and sandalwood blended with black tea as a background note. There are also milder herbs like lavender and more intricate flowers like geranium. Still, I felt the scent was dominated by the mahogany, teakwood, and oakmoss, with a warming, musky drydown. If you sniff this up close, you can pick up on the mahogany and oak notes.
Vanilla Birch is executed so well that I cannot resist reaching for it edailyas my room spray. Vanilla Birch is not a strong smell, just in case you prefer more subtle fall candles in your home. Trust me when I say that the flannel scent is like comfort and nostalgia in the best possible way.
